Privacy Policy

Fence Works ("we", "us") provides software for fence contractors to estimate jobs, send quotes, take payments, and automate customer follow-up. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we handle data from the services you connect.

Information we collect

• Account details you provide (name, company, email, password).
• Business data you create in the app (customers, estimates, quotes, work orders, photos).
• Usage and device information to operate and improve the service.

How we use it

To deliver the product, process payments through our payment provider, send the messages your automations trigger, provide support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data from connected services (QuickBooks, Stripe, Google)

When you connect a third-party service, we access only the data needed to power the feature you turned on:

• Intuit QuickBooks Online. If you connect QuickBooks, we use the Intuit QuickBooks Online API only to create and sync the customers, invoices, and payments for jobs you choose to send. We do not read, modify, or store any other QuickBooks data, we never sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose other than providing this sync to you.
• Google (Calendar, Sheets, Business Profile). Used only to add scheduled jobs to your calendar, append leads to a sheet you choose, and read your reviews to draft replies for your approval — read-only where applicable. We never edit or delete content on your Google Business Profile.
• Stripe. Processes deposits and balances; we never receive or store full card or bank credentials.

Access tokens for connected services are stored encrypted on our servers, never in the browser. When you disconnect an integration, we stop accessing that service and remove its stored tokens.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that run the service (payment, email/SMS, calendar, and accounting providers you connect) and only as needed to deliver the features you enable. We do not sell personal information.

SMS / text messaging

Customers who call a business using Fence Works or submit its estimate request form may receive service-related text messages from that business — appointment confirmations, estimate follow-ups, missed-call replies, and review requests.

• No mobile sharing: mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the business (typically a few messages per estimate or job).
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

Data retention & your choices

You can access, export, or delete your data, and disconnect any integration, from your account at any time. We retain workspace data while your account is active and delete it on request or after account closure, except where we must retain records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
